Luminary Art Print
Created whilst studying sea creatures.
'Luminary' is a part of the 'Creatures' Series.
This light-adorned critter intertwines the features of the Angler Fish with various sources of light. Angler Fish are deep sea creatures, known for their illuminscent bulb - once which attracts nearby sea critters (their prey).
Due to this temprting/luring light, this particular creature has been named 'The Temptress'. This title also falls in line with the sexual kink associated with Angler Fish.
A bit about that. When a male Angler Fish finds a female, he bites into her skin & releases an enzyme that digests the skin of his mouth and her body, fusing the pair down to the blood-vessel level. The male becomes dependent on the female host for survival be receiving nutrients via their shared circulatory system, and provides sperm to the female in return. Multiple males can be incorporated into a single individual female with up to eight males in some species.
